How are benefits distributed to beneficiaries in the event of the account holder's passing?

Written by Eric Butler

Upon the death of a Basic Capital account holder, the benefits are distributed to designated beneficiaries either as a lump-sum payment or transferred into an inherited IRA, where distributions can be taken over time.

Beneficiaries must provide a death certificate to initiate the process, and the distribution method chosen will determine any applicable tax implications.
